Abstract:

How to manage a G/GI/n queuing system ? Manager's opinion depends mostly on the mean of the sojourn time, while customer's opinion depends mostly of the variance of the same sojourn time. Moreover, modeling human behavior involves not only objective quantities like sojourn time or even objective fairness but involves also how these quantities are experienced by the customers.
